Saturday 27 April - Saturday Saunter bluebell walk at Thorncombe Woods. Meet St Aldhelm's 9.30am.
Sunday 28 April 10.30am at St Aldhelm's Church - APCM (Annual Parochial Church Meeting) - Following last year's very successful Annual Meeting of the Parish we are looking forward to gathering again next Sunday 28th. This is an opportunity to both ratify and support the nominated Churchwardens from each District, along with prayer for the ministry and mission of all the churches. We shall be sharing news of the progress of Parish priorities that were set at the start of last year. Not only do we celebrate together as a Parish but we worship, pray and eat together as well. Bring & Share Lunch Arrangements: Like last year St Aldhelm's will be doing jacket potatoes. We ask if church members across the Districts can bring either a savoury or a dessert dish to share. (If you have specialist dietary requirements, please could you bring your own: thank you.). Children's and Young people's groups: During the service there will be group activities for children and youth. It will be based on the Easter stories. There will be leaders for the groups but it would be good to have other volunteer adults to assist from across the Districts as appropriate, if the group sizes become large. Many thanks and looking forward to seeing you there on 28th April. Nick Clarke

Thursday 23 May 7.30pm at St Johns Church - Safe Families for Children. Information Evening. Safe Families for Children is a Christian charity working hand-in-hand with children’s services to link families in need with a network of local volunteers who can offer them support. They work in partnership with local churches and recruit, train and support volunteers who get alongside a family to offer the support they need. They work around the UK and are about to begin working in Dorset. They have a proven record of delivering highly effective and transformational work amongst families around the country and so this new project is good news for Weymouth and Portland. The information evening on 23rd May is a non-committal opportunity to find out more about the charity and how churches and individuals can be involved. All welcome. Rev Tom Coopey
